ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
WHAT
IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN INTRODUCTORY, INTERMEDIATE, AND ADVANCED COURSE?
These
are our operational definitions of the level of course complexity.
Introductory
—No prior knowledge of the specific content area
is needed to participate fully and effectively in the workshop. The information
or skills will be new to those enrolled.
Intermediate
—Some basic knowledge of the specific content
area is required, but you need not have in-depth knowledge or skills. The activity
will provide information at a level beyond the basic knowledge of the topic.
Advanced
—To participate fully, attendees should possess
a strong working knowledge or skill level in the specific content area. At this
level, advanced techniques or knowledge would be offered to refine and expand
current expertise.
WHAT
IS YOUR REFUND & TRANSFER POLICY
The number of options available to you depend on how many days prior to the course we receive your request.
1. If you discover you are unable to attend (for any reason)
a course for which you registered, you may switch your enrollment to one of
our other live courses of equal length for a transfer fee of $15 (payable at
the time you withdraw from the course you originally enrolled in). Transfers
are accepted by phone or fax until noon the day before the course.
2. We realize that circumstances beyond your control and personal
choices may prevent you for attending a course or arriving too late to receive
credit, so we have implemented the following policy for cancellations received
at or after 12 p.m. the day before the course, no-shows, and late arrivals:
$75 of your tuition may be applied to another live PLA course completed within
one year.
3. For course withdrawals, your refund request must be in writing,
and faxed or postmarked at least 15 days prior to the course date for a refund,
less a withdrawal fee of $35 per person for each course. Refunds are issued
within five days.
WHAT
IS YOUR COURSE CANCELLATION POLICY
In the unlikely event that a course is cancelled, you will
be promptly notified and receive a full refund of your tuition. If circumstances
beyond our control (e.g., acts of war, terrorism, natural disaster, airline
delays, instructor illness) force a course to be cancelled in its entirety,
no refunds will be issued; however, you will receive full credit towards another
course of equal C.E. hours. To avoid a course cancellation, we reserve the right
to substitute another qualified instructor. If a situation arises that causes
us to end a course early, you may be able to receive C.E. credit for the portions
of the course that have been completed.
